:)

"Oh the weather outside is beautiful, and my dear, I'm so, forgetful (because I do not know all of the words, and I tend to change some of them on purpose, others on accident!), but since we've no place to go, let it snow let it snow let it snow!"...wait, lets skip the snow part. The weather has been awesome lately though!!! I'm weird, I know...but I'm comfortable with that.

I am currently at work just having the time of my life. I haven't felt very good in the past week. I think I had bronchitis and a sinus infection (or something like that). I still have my terrible cough, but other than that I feel great. It hurts a lot when I cough, especially when I do it a lot.

I'm so ready for this weekend. We are having a date party with Kappa Sig, (this is not what I am looking forward to). I am looking forward to the drunken debauchery and dancing with my fiance! Later this month we are having a camp out date party. I think it will be really neat. We are going out to a pasture, and will drink/hang out with a camp fire all night long. And when we get too tired, or too drunk, we will resign back to our tents and sleep! sounds like a lot of fun to me. Towards the end of the month is our senior date party and banquet! This is most exciting. Probably because I will be GRADUATING in May, but aso because it is a Formal...and we are doing Boxer Rebellion! YEA.

Well, I think I'm going to do something..not sure what, but I'm going to go do it. Everyone have a GREAT day and an AWESOME weekend!

HEY

I don't feel so good today. I have been feeling sick since Sunday. I am coughing up some really colorful stuff! I did go ahead and give in and give the doctor a call this afternoon. Hopefully I will be on some kick ass antibiotics and will feel better this weekend. Speaking of this weekend, I think we are going to drive up to Tulsa and do brunch with angel's family. That should be fun.

I had a set back this afternoon as well. Well, sorta. I got a letter from the Health Science Center this afternoon. While I did not get accepted into the program, I was chosen as an alternate. Which isn't a flat denial, but it's not what I was hoping for. There were at least 160-180 applicants for the program, and it looks like I was chosen somewhere around 85....which isn't bad, except that they are only accepting 60 students this year. So, if there are 25ish students that deny their acceptance, or chose to attend other schools, then I am in....untill then, I must wait. I think I am going to retake 3 classes in the Fall, so that I can apply again next year for the early admit program...my GPA will also be higher, which will help a lot.

Well, I am tired, so I guess I'm going to work on getting some sleep...later

Headline in today's news

The Cleveland County District Attorney has filed felony charges in connection with the death of an O.U. fraternity pledge.

Blake Hammontree was found dead inside the Sigma Chi fraternity house last September. An autopsy found he had a blood alcohol level of more than five times the legal amount.

Charges have been filed against 20-year-old Jordan Scott Mitchell, 21-year-old John David Hall, 21-year-old Raymond Henry Davis, and 20-year-old John Abbott Frame.

They all face charges of unlawfully furnishing an alcohol beverage to a minor. A fifth individual, Cody Barrington, was previously charged with the same offense.
If convicted, each of the defendants could face up to five years in prison.

E-mail Luu

Everyone take a moment and use the following link to send Luu an e-mail. Below is the e-mail policy for the hospital.

"E-Mail is hand delivered to the patients each weekday morning. Messages received after 9 a.m will be delivered the following morning. E-mail received over the weekends will be delivered on Monday. There may be delays in delivery for e-mail received during a holiday. We cannot guarantee delivery of e-mail received after a patient is discharged."

Go to this website, and click on 'e-mail a patient' on the bottom left side of the screen. His full name is Knat-Kim Jeremy Luu (I think).

I hear that someone reads his emails daily, and that it is a very happy time for him. So take a moment and give him a shout-out. If you tell him I sent you, you will win a large 1 topping pizza from papa johns...not really, but do it anyhow!

Luu Update

So I spoke with Vijay this evening. He said that Luu is doing better. But that is all relative. He is in and out of consciousness. When he is conscious he likes to hear people read his emails. As soon as I get the link I will let you know what the link to the hospital is so that we can all give him some encouragement to get better. I hear that he is off the respirator, and on a Cpap from what a hear. Basically a specialized machine that gives one large amounts of Oxygen...but it does not pump the O2 into the lungs like the respirator. Luu still needs many many prayers. Apparently he has been diagnosed with pneumonia within the past 4 or 5 days. I'll let you know what the hospital email address is so that we can send Luu some emails. We love you Bro. It's way to early for you to join the Chapter Grand. Keep fighting...

Spring Break

Spring Break is finally here. YEA. This means there is only 7 or 8 weeks left in the semester. I am soooo ready for a break. I have BUSTED my ass to graduate this semester. And it is finally paying off. Last spring I took 18 hours (in which I made a 4.0!). Last summer I took another 13 hours (yes, 13 hours during the summer...Including a 3 hour class during May intersession, in which I also made a 4.0). This past fall I completed another 15 hours, this time only with about a 3.3ish...then a 3 hour class in December intersession (Hate to brag but I got an A). arrrggggg. The 15 hours I am enrolled in this semester are actually pretty fun. I am enjoying it. I'm quite excited about graduation though. I just might make a 4.0 this semester. We shall see. If I don't then it will be close. I should find by the end of next week whether I got into Physical Therapy school. I really hope I did. My grades are a bit low, but I think I should have a pretty competitive application. I guess we will see. God has a plan for all of us, so we shall see what he has planned out! I looked at Norman Regional Hospitals website this afternoon. They are hiring P.T.'s. The pay for inpatient, (boring...this is what I did as a tech a few years ago) ranges from 21-32ish dollars an hour...nice, very nice. They are also hiring for rehab (extremely exciting!). The rehab pay was around 54-56K/year! BIG time bucks. Talking about paying off the student loans AND supporting a WIFE/FAMILY! If I don't get in perhaps I shall just win the lottery and volunteer at the Red Cross....rriiiiggghhhhttttt.

So I wrote a post last Thursday at work. It was quite exciting. However, when I clicked on publish there was an 'Internal Server Error'...meaning everything got lost. I refused to rewrite the novel that I was attempting to post....too bad, it was a good one.

The post in a nutshell(I watched Austin Powers last night, GREAT movie!!). I'm doing great in my classes. I enjoy all of them..really. I am looking at getting a job this summer at the United States Postal Service Training Center. (NO postal jokes please). anyhoo, I would be working in the fitness gym, cleaning, helping people, teaching classes ect. It sounds super fun! Plus the pay is very nice:). If I do not get accepted to PT this time, then I am seriously considering retaking 3 classes that are prerequisites. By retaking these classes I am nearly guaranteed to be accepted via an early admit process. I'll keep you posted. Hopefully I wont need it!

Well, I am going to go call my lil lady. (We went to church this morning and talked with our priest about getting married. I'm getting excited!!!:)). It's about time for me to begin dinner!

The last remaining soul's of the Fall 2000 Pledge Class...Jeremy Luu, Tyler Wear, Myself, Michael Downes, Chris Beaudoin.

Prayers

I would like to take a moment to share so unfortunate news with everyone. This weekend one of my pledge brothers, Jeremy Luu, was in a very bad car wreck. I do not know any of the specifics of the wreck, however I do know that Luu needs some prayers from all of us. From what I understand, Luu is in the Intensive Care Unit in a hospital in Fort Smith AK (this is near his home). I am unaware of how it happened, but during the course of the accident Luu suffered at least three tears in his Aortic Artery. He has undergone at least three different surgeries, during which they surgeons have attempted to close the tears. Part of his lung has also collapsed, and the doctors are working to fix this problem as well. I have been told that Luu is on a ventilator, and that earlier this morning he was finally regaining consciousness. Luu graduated in December and looking foreword to graduate school in the near future. Please take a minute of your time and say a prayer for him, his recovery, and his family. Thanks.

Volleyball

I had a great evening tonight. This evening began with Founders Day Dinner. The meal itself was awesome. Our cook is the best. I'd mary her if I wasn't already engaged...(ok, probably not, but she really is a great cook. Perhaps I'll just hire her to be my personal chief in the future) We had brisket, salad, twice baked potatoes, green beans....and of course apple pie a la mode! yummy. After dinner a lot of us went out and played volleyball. I didn't realize we were out there that long but we played for a good 4 hours. It was a lot of fun. And, apparently even after a long sabbatical, I am still pretty darn good at!!! I got pretty good after playing so much as a freshman/sophomore. yea for me. Well, I'm off to get some sleep so that I will be well rested for church in the morning. LATER!

A thought on Obesity

The prevalence of Adult Obesity in the U.S. in 1992 was only 6%. In 1999 it was recorded at a soaring 57%. Blame it on what you want...but we can only blame ourselves and our personal habbits.

"Clearly, genes related to obesity are not responsible for the epidemic of obesity because the U.S. gene pool did not change significantly between 1991 and 1999."

doobie doobie do

It is such a beautiful day today!! My class was canceled this morning so I got to sleep in. YEA to sleep. The only thing on my list that actually has to get done today is work...and I'm at work right now playing on the computer so I can't really complain can I? Angela has her interview for grad school tomorrow. I hope that goes great. I'm sure it will though. I should hear back from Physical Therapy within the next two weeks or so. I am a bit nervous. I just need to know if I need to look for a real full time job or I get to put that off for another three years...time will tell. I think we are going out drinking with Stu and Jenny tomorrow night. That should be fun. Well, I think I am going to get a head start on my homework for next week.

Some one just informed me that while their car was parked in the garage their gas tank was siphoned. Or in otherwords, someone stole their gas! Makes me think I need to get a locking gas cap...

I just wanted to share one of my favorite pics!!!

All i gotta say is this is some funny shit. It was taken last March during Spring Break. (We went to South Padre Island). In a drunken state he hugged Tyler from behind...you can judge her response on your own! It was quite amusing. Ive been told to delete it, but I just cant force myself to!!! Love ya TGB!
