The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If by some miracle I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years -- canine or feline attendance is not required.

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough!

To pacify you, my dear pets, I have posted the following message on our front door:
To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:
1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: In many ways, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1. Eat less
2. Don't ask for money all the time
3 Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don't smoke or drink
8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don't want to wear your clothes
10. Don't need a "gazillion" dollars for college.

And finally,
11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

Cheney's got a gun!

Only in America can the Vice President shoot a guy while hunting and the whole country makes a joke of it instead of taking it serious. Hope everyone else had some fun too!

I'll post lots of pics when I get back!

BIG UPDATES!

I had a GREAT weekend! Saturday afternoon I received my acceptance letter into Physical Therapy!! :) Who HOO! I have been waiting for it to come for weeks! I have been working on getting accepted into PT school for the past several years so it is very rewarding to finally get accepted! I will continue to work at the hospital untill classes begin, but I don't think I"l be able to work full time after that so we shall see what happens. Classes do not begin untill next August (Just weeks after I will be getting married!). It is a three year program, but I will have a masters (or doctorate) after I complete it! The program is currently a masters program, but they are in the process of making it a doctorate program.

Besides etting my acceptance letter our football team now has a winning season! We are 4-3. Which doesnt sound that bad but our only losses are to Texas (#1 in the country), UCLA (#8), and TCU (#18). So I don't really feel too bad about our reccord. Hopefully we will be able to win a couple more before the season is over! We can hope at least.

I should have played the lottery this weekend :) Well, I am gong to fill out my acceptance forms and get those in the mail!

USC moves down!!!

Besides the end rusult in the football game of course. I was not expecting to go to the OU/TX game, but my grandmother game me her tickets and said she 'expected me to cheer for her'. What was I suppose to do? I had to go. We had a pretty good time despite loosing. Texas has a very good team this year, but the calls on the field didn't help us out any. I think Texas got the upperhand on that. But, our team did look better on the field. Which is a huge plus. Well, I work tuesday thru thursday this week. I am going to Austin (I know, bad timing) to attend a little family reunin kind of thing with Angelas family. It should be a lot of fun though. (I hope!). Oh, we were given a new tv this weekend too. It is much bigger than the tv I already had, and it is too big to fit into the entertainment center, so I had to put it on th dresser in the bedroom. What a live. Perhaps this will be more of a reason to finally get a new entertainment center....well see. The time for my cruise quickly approaching. I am going on a 10nighter with my parents, brother/sister in law, and of course Angela. We are going to have soooo much fun. I can't wait. Well, time for bed, I have to be up early. Lata!

?

So I have come to the conclusion that I am really bad at updating this...I am considering closing it. Perhaps that would be better. I mean it's not like people really check it daily or even monthly since I'm not updating. I really enjoy reading other peoples blogs. I tend to check many peoples daily. Especially Angela, Joey, Lofin, Schaller(until he closed it again??), Nat, and several others...but I SUCK at updating mine. I mean it’s not like people really need to read my thoughts do they? No.

I would post more often if I had a lot of good news, or exciting things happening all of the time, but the excitement that I get is usually at work (I am liking my job for the most part, for a job that is). And most of that is highly confidential, so I can't talk about it in grave detail, and really shouldn’t put it on the internet for everyone to read. So that really limits me. I have been thinking lately, perhaps I need begin something new that will give me something to do. I am beginning to get board on my days off. I am just so use to being busy that it is a big change. I don’t have the house to keep my busy, or school/studying. that has taken a LOT of time for the past couple years because I was taking a LOT of hours and working very hard to get good grades so I can get into grad school.

Speaking of, I should hear back from OU very soon. I reapplied for PT school. Through an early admit program I SHOULD be guaranteed acceptance for next fall because I think I meet all of the requirements (GPA, GRE scores, all prerequisites completed with an A or B etc). But I haven't heard anything yet. I really expect to hear something this week....next week at the latest. I miss not being in school. And I hope that I will be back in school next year. The break will be very nice, but I'm already getting to the point where I want to get back in...Oh well.

Anyway, In case you didn't know I have been working at Norman Regional Hospital, for the past 2 months in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The sickest people in the hospital are in our unit. I have some really interesting stories from my patients, but I can’t necessarily share them all...in detail...sorry :). I am still teaching CPR classes for the hospital. Pretty much one class a week. My job in ICU is on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from 7am to 7pm. Meaning I go to bed early now. It gives me a LOT of free time. I am taking a class later on this month so that I can begin working in the monitor room (a room with computer screens of certain patients that have a wireless monitor of their heart rhythms, blood pressure etc etc etc. Basically I would monitor patient’s vital signs on a computer and call the nurse if something changed. Lots of reading (for pleasure) from what I hear! I'll keep u posted....assuming I still post.

Hope all is well. Leave me a response and let me know who really reads this thing...perhaps that will have a factor on whether I post more often (or at all?)

So I am alive...

I have a LOT to post! But, since I am having a watch party for the OU game, I'll make it short. Everything is going GREAT. Details to follow! Promise. But for now...

Two boys are playing football at a park in Norman, Oklahoma when one
>> of the boys is suddenly attacked by a crazed Rottweiler. Thinking
>> quickly, the other boy takes a stick and shoves it under the dog's
>> collar, twists it, and breaks the dog's neck, thus saving his
>> friend. A sports reporter who was strolling by sees the incident and
>> rushes over to interview the boy. He tells the boy he's going to
>> write the story and says, "I'll title it, 'Young Sooner Fan Saves
>> Friend From Vicious Animal.'"
>>
>> "But I'm not a Sooner fan," the little hero replies.
>>
>> "Sorry, since we're in Norman, I just assumed you were," says the
>> reporter and he starts writing again. On her wedding night, staying at her mother's house, she was very nervous. Her mother reassured her, "Don't worry, Maria, Tony's a good man. Go upstairs and he'll take care of you. Meanwhile, I'll be making pasta." So, up she went. When she got upstairs, Tony took off his shirt and exposed his hairy chest. Maria ran downstairs to her mother and says, "Mama, Tony's got a big hairy chest." "Don't worry, Maria," says the mother, "all good men have hairy chests. Go upstairs. He'll take good care of you." So, up she went, again. When she got up in the bedroom, Tony took off his pants, exposing his hairy legs. Again, Maria ran downstairs to her mother. "Mama, Tony took off his pants and he's got hairy legs!" "Don't worry, all good men have hairy legs. Tony's a good man. Go upstairs and he'll take good care of you." So, up she went. When she got there, Tony took off his socks and on his left foot, he was missing three toes. I have finally made my decision, and I have a job! YEA! I will be working at Norman Regional Hospital. I will be a Unit Secertary for the Intensive Care Unit. Basically, I will read patient charts, input orders into the computer system, call doctors, etc. I should be pretty exciting, plus it should help me in Physical Therapy. The best part is that I will only be working three days a week! The bad part is that I will be working from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Oh well, it will be worth it. I will be able to continue teaching CPR (one class per week) and I should have the oportunity to sign up for overtime too. :)

Well, Casey is finally back from France (he was studying abroad this past semester) and we are hanging out this evening. Perhaps a little O'Connells for old times.

Angela is here now so I am going to go give her a BIG hug and an even BIGGER kiss! I didn't do a whole lot. After finishing my homework (summer school sucks) Angela and I had dinner with my parents. It was really good....we had steak and potatoes! yumm. Then we went to watch the fireworks. The 4th wasn't as good as it usually is. I generally have a lot of family I town, but not this year. After watching the fireworks we went to my grandparent’s house and sat around in the hot tub. It was fun, but we stayed out way to late.

My job interview went very well this afternoon. I am suppose to hear back from them this afternoon or tomorrow to find out exactly how much I will be getting paid. Not as much as I would like, but then again is it ever enough? Actually I think it probably is, because I get paid very very well teach CPR. In fact, if I accept this job I will be able to continue teaching CPR a couple times a month! That's easy money. Plus, the position is 3 twelve hour shifts each week. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Meaning I could possible get another job to get some extra hours.

I should find out about the position I applied for in the Union this week as well. Funny how I couldn't even get someone to talk to me at the beginning of the summer, now it seems i may have to choose which job to accept....

So...I have been busy doing a lot of nothing. I have turned in more résumé’s than I can count. I am still hoping for a job at Huffman. Perhaps I can use my degree!! Other than that I have applied for a job in the Union. It is the Union Programming Board Advisor. I think it sounds pretty neat. We shall see soon if I am offered the position. I did get a call this morning from Norman Regional Hospital. I have an interview on Tuesday for a Unit Secretary position in ICU. I am not really sure I want to be a unit secretary in ICU. The pay is ok. The benefits are great. It would be 7a-7p on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Can't beat the schedule. We shall see though, everything works out for a reason. Hummm, other than that I'm just kickin it.

Angela and I got NCAA 2004 Football for the game cube. Its a lot of fun. I have beaten the #1 team on the game already. It's fun! I can't wait for FB season to begin....more later. I thought I was doing pretty darn well, but apparently I was wrong. Tyler is back from her intersession class in Puerto Rico, and since she has been back all she can talk about it this new guy that she has been dating. Don't get me wrong, this is much better than having her nag or even worse bitch about something, but give me a break....its all Jason, Jason, Jason. I am very glad that she has found someone that she really likes, and he seems to be a pretty good guy...but here is what happened last night.

Tyler begins by telling about her weekend (she was with Jason all weekend, her new BF). They went to 2 weddings (for different people) this weekend, and seemed to have a really good time. Great, awesome. However, Tyler and Angela then begin talking about weddings themselves. Obviously I am alright with Angela discussing weddings, since we are having our own in about a year. We have discussed and even made plans for many different parts of the wedding event. (I say wedding event because apparently you have to have showers, rehearsal dinners, the wedding itself, reception, gifts for everyone, etc, etc, etc, and then the honeymoon!) Things for pictures basically...anyway, Tyler spent the whole evening talking about what kind of ring she wants, when she wants to be proposed to, the wedding date itself, where the rehearsal dinner will be held, what will be served, the wedding party, honeymoon, even where they will spend holidays!!! Under Norman circumstances this would be...ok, I guess. But they have only been dating for a month, perhaps a little longer, no more than two months though...of which over 2 weeks she was out of the country...Give me a break. If you want to run a guy off that’s the way to do it. arrgggghhhh. girls.

Well, that’s enough for now. If you have any ideas why girls are so complicated, feel free to enlighten us all.

A Good Joke

Jane lost her husband almost four years ago and still hasn't gotten out of her mourning stage. Her daughter is constantly calling her and urging her to get back into the real world. Finally, Jane says that she's ready to go out, but doesn't know anyone. Her daughter immediately replies, "Mom! I have someone for you to meet." Well, it was an immediate hit. They took to one another and after dating for six weeks, he asks her to join him for a weekend in the Catskills. On their first night there, they start undressing.
Jane takes everything off, except for a pair of black lace panties; he is in his birthday suit.
Looking at Jane, he asks, "Why the black panties?" She replies, "My breasts you can fondle, my body is yours to explore, but down there I am still in mourning." He knows he's not getting lucky that night.
The following night, the same scenario occurs. She's standing there with her black panties on and he is completely naked; only this time, he is wearing a black condom.
She looks at him and asks, "What's with the black condom?"
He replies, "I want to offer my deepest condolences."

So here I am again. Twice in one week! Let’s see, as I was typing yesterday Angela showed up at work with lunch for me! What a nice surprise. In case you didn't know, Last week Angela and I went to Albuquerque NM. Tyler was supposed to join us, but she backed out the day before we left. Haven't really seen that girl in nearly a month because she had an intersession class in Puerto Rico, and since she came back to Norman we have all been really busy. Her but still stinks though. And she is transferring to cow town (Stillwater) in the Fall so I guess I'll see even less of her then...Oh well, we had fun in Albuquerque without her. The reason for going to Albuquerque was for Angela to get lasik surgery. Just before the surgery they gave her zanax, which made her completely goofy. I took several videos on my phone. She was falling out of her chair, and at one point crawled around on the floor to pick up a Kleenex. Good times.

I guess I need to fill out a couple applications this evening so that I can turn them in tomorrow. My summer class is online and isn’t finished until August 1st, but I think I'm about ready to begin working a real job. Sitting here at the parking garage is just sooo boring. I haven’t found the perfect job where I work 30 hours a week and bring home over $60,000 as a recent college grad...I'm still working on it though. Perhaps I should work as a Jiggalo or a beer quality assurance manager (getting paid to drink FREE beer!). I can hope, but until then I shall keep applying. I'm sure to get a job soon.

I'm getting really excited about moving. I have absolutely loved living in the Fraternity house, but I definitely think it is time to move on. I think I am really going to like the apartment that I am moving into as well (or I hope I like it). I'm also excited about 'officially' living with Angela. We spend pretty much all of our time together anyhow, so we might as well. As long as we keep the place clean we shouldn't have much to fight over!

Well, I'm getting really hungry so I'm going to close up and head home. Everyone have a great weekend....

So it has been brought to my attention that I haven't posted in a while. boo hoo! jk! Lets see, my intersession class is complete...I received another A! I have now began my final class...it is an online class, entitled understanding statistics. I think it wil be pretty boring, but atleast it is online! I have begun looking for a job. I'll keep you posted on that. Since I am taking my final class (untill next year when I am in grad school) I really need a good full time job. I have a few prospects, but Angela is here now so I will post later.

Eminem Video

Ok, if you have about four min, you MUST watch this video. It's all happened very fast, and it's still very much a blur, but I've absolutely found The One.

I've been going through a lot lately, and there's always been this girl around to make me feel better, to help me through the night, to calm me down or straighten me out or clear me up when I needed it.

She's never even seen me well. I've been sick the entire time we've been together. Sick with a sinus infection. I've been on Codine, Sudafed, Tavist, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Lortab, and now finally, after an ENT's more comprehensive diagnosis on Thursday, I am on Steroids and antibiotics of some sort for what is now known to be a sinus infection. The entire time we've been together - if "together" is really the term to use, though we haven't been "together" long enough to really call it "together" anyway - I've been under the weather and she, like a princess or a goddess or even a savior, has been there to help me, to carry me through, to give me a reason to be happy when I could barely breathe.

I need her. I really do. I know it's all gone by so fast and it seems like just yesterday we first met eyes because it nearly was just yesterday when in fact it's been only and barely slightly longer than that, but I need her in a way that defies time or history or rule.

The soft, gentle touch against my skin makes her all the more necessary. I miss her when she's gone, though I never really lose her completely because when I need more of her I know it's only a reasonable drive to attain her. And what a drive it would be, short but would feel like a lifetime until I get more of her, exciting but with nervous anticipation of feeling her again, holding her against me and feeling her quiver as I take in the air between us. It's like a real love story; she's there when I need her, and she takes care of me when I can't take care of myself.

It's a love nurtured from necessity but brought truly to a great and mature connection. At this moment in my life I simply cannot exist without her. It's amazing how such a bond comes so quickly. I can't explain it, but she's been so essential to my health that I would be raw, damaged, and sore without her. I cannot get enough of what she gives me, and she gives me only so much that I have to have more.

The relationship does have a weird twist though: I blow her. I love her. She has been my sole companion these last few days. We've grown very close; shared my bed, my couch, my car; we've watched movies together, told jokes, laughed, cried.

She gives me 500 reasons to love her. And I go over them every day until I drive that glorious mile to Walgreens to have her again. Yesterday I had her twice in one day, had to buy bulk but it worked out well because Walgreen's had a sale. Trisha loves me enough to be considerate of my finances as well as my health.

This is Trisha.

The way she's touched my skin as I've blown my nose a million times throughout this horrible infection has kept my nose soft and smooth, not raw and sore like those other tissues and toilet papers I've been with in the past. This is different, but I'm afraid Trisha and I are nearing the end of our relationship though. As the Steroids relieve the swelling and the antibiotics heal my sinuses and throat, we're simply growing apart. I don't need Trisha like I used to. Why can a love that has come so fast fade with such bittersweet dismay?

"Give me the strength to say goodbye." I finished with finals yesterday, and did the taxes for the house (business taxes are not due on April 15!) so several of us thought it would be a good idea to go drink. And drink we did! Angela and I meet Adam and his girlfriend, Chris and Amy, Jarred Howeiller, Tyler Wear and a few others at O'Connells. We drank a lot. We talked about the house and how it has changed in the past five years, and how well it is doing. Were all going to miss it, but it's time to move on to bigger and better things!

Angela looked really good last night too. Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me so i can't share...your loss!

We ran into several old friends last night as well. Angela got to talk with few Zeta's (or should I say x-Zeta?)...the ones that she actually liked in the house. Unlike that Tyler girl that she hangs out with!!! :) We also say Jessica DG and Danielle. They both seem to be doing very well. They both said they love Angela’s ring, except I think they say that every time they see it...oh well, I'm just good!

I noticed this morning that there is a margarita glass in the kitchen...I think it came from O'Connells. Oops! Guess I'll just add it to the collection...

I think I'm going to watch a movie now...since I have NOTHING to study for!

I'm Alive!!!

Wow I haven't posted in a long, long time. Where should I begin...We had our senior formal a couple weeks ago. I posted a few pictures from it, I will post more! We had a really good time. We ate at the Olive garden and pre-partied at Angela's house (like you care). It was a really good 'last' date party. I am definitely going to miss them in the future...good thing recent alumni can still attend date party's!

Following the date party we had our annual senior/awards banquet. It's always a lot of fun. My parents and Angela came with me! :) I wasn't really expecting it, but I received the, 'Brother of the Year' award. Basically the chapter votes on someone who they feel has been a great example/leader/brother in the house. I am very proud to join Josh Hammers and my pledge brother/suitemate Chris Beaudoin as a recipient. It's really silly, but it's kinda like a big 'thank you' for everything that I've done in the past five years! I was and still have very happy about receiving it!

Lets see, about two weeks ago Ryan took over as the house treasurer. He is going to do a good job I'm sure. I have had a lot more free time now that I do not have to worry about the chapter finances! I am still helping Ryan out when he needs it. For instance, I did the chapter's taxes this afternoon....man I am glad to have that completed. It sucks.

Lets see, I took my last final this morning! I am really excited about graduating Saturday! I have worked my ass of for the past year and a half to graduate. Since last January, I have completed 64 hours! (and as long as I got a 4.0 this semester, which I think I did, then 55 of those hours are all A's) That’s a lot of summer school and intersession. On the plus side after I finish my May intersession and June summer class I will be done for over a year! I am taking Developmental Psy in May, and Understanding Stats in June. As long as I get an A or B in those two classes I have been told that I am guaranteed acceptance into the Fall 06 Physical Therapy program!

Well, now that I have a break from school and the house I will work on posting several times a week! pictures too!!! Graduation is this weekend so I will let you know all about it, until then....

Guess what she did with the bottle when it was empty...PADRE style!!!
<img border='0' style='border:1px solid #000000; I have a lot of things to do in the next two weeks. The joy of finals! All in all things are going alright. Could be a lot worse. Mostly Im just tired, but I'm sure that will linger for the next couple weeks :( On a plus though, my office was officially vacated this evening. I have been replaced by Ryan. I'm sure he will do a great job...I'm sure he is overwhelmed right now! We were #1 in grades last spring, #7 last fall, we have 2 members on IFC exec (including the IFC president), and coutless other members involved with CAC exec etc...All of our hard work has finally paid off. This afternoon President David Boren announced Phi Delt as the winner of this years President Trophy! :)

For everyone who has no idea what the president's trophy is, let me fill you in. It is a huge honor from President Boren. Boren and his wife look at everything the fraternities and sororities have accomplished (or not accomplished) and choice the house that they think has been the best on campus that year. Along with this great honor we get a trophy that is about 5 1/2 feet tall! Nearly as tall as most of us! It is truly awesome. We alro received a very very large check as a prize! We are extremely excited!

Well, besides that great news about the house, I don't really have anything new to share. It is moms weekend, so for the last time my mother will be coming over to the house to hang out :( I am going to miss not living in the house. I have really enjoyed it, but I guess all good things must come to an end: so that even better things may begin! perhaps it is about time to have a wedding!:)

Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! The weather has been awesome lately though!!! I'm weird, I know...but I'm comfortable with that.

I am currently at work just having the time of my life. I haven't felt very good in the past week. I think I had bronchitis and a sinus infection (or something like that). I still have my terrible cough, but other than that I feel great. It hurts a lot when I cough, especially when I do it a lot.

I'm so ready for this weekend. We are having a date party with Kappa Sig, (this is not what I am looking forward to). I am looking forward to the drunken debauchery and dancing with my fiance! Later this month we are having a camp out date party. I think it will be really neat. We are going out to a pasture, and will drink/hang out with a camp fire all night long. And when we get too tired, or too drunk, we will resign back to our tents and sleep! sounds like a lot of fun to me. Towards the end of the month is our senior date party and banquet! This is most exciting. Probably because I will be GRADUATING in May, but aso because it is a Formal...and we are doing Boxer Rebellion! YEA.

Well, I think I'm going to do something..not sure what, but I'm going to go do it. I have been feeling sick since Sunday. I am coughing up some really colorful stuff! I did go ahead and give in and give the doctor a call this afternoon. Hopefully I will be on some kick ass antibiotics and will feel better this weekend. Speaking of this weekend, I think we are going to drive up to Tulsa and do brunch with angel's family. That should be fun.

I had a set back this afternoon as well. Well, sorta. I got a letter from the Health Science Center this afternoon. While I did not get accepted into the program, I was chosen as an alternate. Which isn't a flat denial, but it's not what I was hoping for. There were at least 160-180 applicants for the program, and it looks like I was chosen somewhere around 85....which isn't bad, except that they are only accepting 60 students this year. So, if there are 25ish students that deny their acceptance, or chose to attend other schools, then I am in....untill then, I must wait. I think I am going to retake 3 classes in the Fall, so that I can apply again next year for the early admit program...my GPA will also be higher, which will help a lot.

Well, I am tired, so I guess I'm going to work on getting some sleep...later

Headline in today's news

The Cleveland County District Attorney has filed felony charges in connection with the death of an O.U. fraternity pledge.

Blake Hammontree was found dead inside the Sigma Chi fraternity house last September. He said that Luu is doing better. But that is all relative. He is in and out of consciousness. When he is conscious he likes to hear people read his emails. As soon as I get the link I will let you know what the link to the hospital is so that we can all give him some encouragement to get better. I hear that he is off the respirator, and on a Cpap from what a hear. Basically a specialized machine that gives one large amounts of Oxygen...but it does not pump the O2 into the lungs like the respirator. Luu still needs many many prayers. Apparently he has been diagnosed with pneumonia within the past 4 or 5 days. I'll let you know what the hospital email address is so that we can send Luu some emails. We love you Bro. It's way to early for you to join the Chapter Grand. YEA. This means there is only 7 or 8 weeks left in the semester. I am soooo ready for a break. I have BUSTED my ass to graduate this semester. And it is finally paying off. Last spring I took 18 hours (in which I made a 4.0!). Last summer I took another 13 hours (yes, 13 hours during the summer...Including a 3 hour class during May intersession, in which I also made a 4.0). This past fall I completed another 15 hours, this time only with about a 3.3ish...then a 3 hour class in December intersession (Hate to brag but I got an A). arrrggggg. The 15 hours I am enrolled in this semester are actually pretty fun. I am enjoying it. I'm quite excited about graduation though. I just might make a 4.0 this semester. We shall see. If I don't then it will be close. I should find by the end of next week whether I got into Physical Therapy school. I really hope I did. My grades are a bit low, but I think I should have a pretty competitive application. I guess we will see. God has a plan for all of us, so we shall see what he has planned out! I looked at Norman Regional Hospitals website this afternoon. They are hiring P.T.'s. The pay for inpatient, (boring...this is what I did as a tech a few years ago) ranges from 21-32ish dollars an hour...nice, very nice. They are also hiring for rehab (extremely exciting!). The rehab pay was around 54-56K/year! BIG time bucks. Talking about paying off the student loans AND supporting a WIFE/FAMILY! If I don't get in perhaps I shall just win the lottery and volunteer at the Red Cross....rriiiiggghhhhttttt.

So I wrote a post last Thursday at work. It was quite exciting. However, when I clicked on publish there was an 'Internal Server Error'...meaning everything got lost. I refused to rewrite the novel that I was attempting to post....too bad, it was a good one.

The post in a nutshell(I watched Austin Powers last night, GREAT movie!!). I'm doing great in my classes. I enjoy all of them..really. I am looking at getting a job this summer at the United States Postal Service Training Center. (NO postal jokes please). anyhoo, I would be working in the fitness gym, cleaning, helping people, teaching classes ect. It sounds super fun! Plus the pay is very nice:). If I do not get accepted to PT this time, then I am seriously considering retaking 3 classes that are prerequisites. By retaking these classes I am nearly guaranteed to be accepted via an early admit process. I'll keep you posted. Hopefully I wont need it!

Well, I am going to go call my lil lady. (We went to church this morning and talked with our priest about getting married. I'm getting excited!!!:)). This weekend one of my pledge brothers, Jeremy Luu, was in a very bad car wreck. I do not know any of the specifics of the wreck, however I do know that Luu needs some prayers from all of us. From what I understand, Luu is in the Intensive Care Unit in a hospital in Fort Smith AK (this is near his home). I am unaware of how it happened, but during the course of the accident Luu suffered at least three tears in his Aortic Artery. He has undergone at least three different surgeries, during which they surgeons have attempted to close the tears. Part of his lung has also collapsed, and the doctors are working to fix this problem as well. I have been told that Luu is on a ventilator, and that earlier this morning he was finally regaining consciousness. Luu graduated in December and looking foreword to graduate school in the near future. Please take a minute of your time and say a prayer for him, his recovery, and his family. Thanks.

Volleyball

I had a great evening tonight. This evening began with Founders Day Dinner. The meal itself was awesome. Our cook is the best. I'd mary her if I wasn't already engaged...(ok, probably not, but she really is a great cook. Perhaps I'll just hire her to be my personal chief in the future) We had brisket, salad, twice baked potatoes, green beans....and of course apple pie a la mode! yummy. After dinner a lot of us went out and played volleyball. I didn't realize we were out there that long but we played for a good 4 hours. It was a lot of fun. And, apparently even after a long sabbatical, I am still pretty darn good at!!! I got pretty good after playing so much as a freshman/sophomore. yea for me. Well, I'm off to get some sleep so that I will be well rested for church in the morning. Angela has her interview for grad school tomorrow. I hope that goes great. I'm sure it will though. I should hear back from Physical Therapy within the next two weeks or so. I am a bit nervous. I just need to know if I need to look for a real full time job or I get to put that off for another three years...time will tell. I think we are going out drinking with Stu and Jenny tomorrow night. But he can’t claim theft, the ruling said, because the sperm were hers to keep.
advertisementThe ruling Wednesday by the Illinois Appellate Court sends Dr. Richard O. Phillips’ distress case back to trial court.
Phillips accuses Dr. Sharon Irons of a “calculated, profound personal betrayal” after their affair six years ago, saying she secretly kept semen after they had oral sex, then used it to get pregnant.
He said he didn’t find out about the child for nearly two years, when Irons filed a paternity lawsuit. DNA tests confirmed Phillips was the father, the court papers state.
Phillips was ordered to pay about $800 a month in child support, said Irons’ attorney, Enrico Mirabelli.
'Trapped in a nightmare'Phillips sued Irons, claiming he has had trouble sleeping and eating and has been haunted by “feelings of being trapped in a nightmare,” court papers state.
Irons responded that her alleged actions weren’t “truly extreme and outrageous” and that Phillips’ pain wasn’t bad enough to merit a lawsuit. The circuit court agreed and dismissed Phillips’ lawsuit in 2003.
But the higher court ruled that, if Phillips’ story is true, Irons “deceitfully engaged in sexual acts, which no reasonable person would expect could result in pregnancy, to use plaintiff’s sperm in an unorthodox, unanticipated manner yielding extreme consequences.”
The judges backed the lower court decision to dismiss the fraud and theft claims, agreeing with Irons that she didn’t steal the sperm.
“She asserts that when plaintiff 'delivered' his sperm, it was a gift — an absolute and irrevocable transfer of title to property from a donor to a donee,” the decision said. “There was no agreement that the original deposit would be returned upon request.”
Phillips is representing himself in the case. He could not be reached for comment Thursday.
“There’s a 5-year-old child here,” Mirabelli said. “Imagine how a child feels when your father says he feels emotionally damaged by your birth.”

Hummmmm

Well I have had quite an exciting week lately. We had a date party last weekend with a baseball theme. Due to the University of Oklahoma and their new drinking rules, we had to move the pre party off campus. Angela and I went to O'Connells for our pre party. It was fun. Drinking beer, hanging out, the usual. Then we headed over to the house and got on the bus. Angela wasn't feeling too good, (suprisingly I don't think it was the alcohol either) so we just sat down for the first half of the date party. That was pretty boring, but we had a good time one she started feeling better! :) We decided to go with a cheap costume. My old baseball uniforms are to big for her, and we wanted matching jersey's so we decided to make some. We took white undershirts and used a fabric marker to write our team names. We were 'Team Barbour'. The back of my shirt said 'Barbour 1873'. The back of her shirt said 'Future Barbour, 1873 1\2. House joke!!! We had a good time though!

I did get some sad sad news this week. Angelas roommate, Tyler, (and yes, it is a girl) is unhappy with OU. She is in college to get a Mrs. Degree and become a wedding planner. Her current major is PR, and she is only 2 major classes away from completing her degree...Plus twenty something hours of gen ed BS classes. Anyhow, all she really wants to do is become a wedding planner, and she cant do that while at OU. So it seems that Tyler will be leaving us and heading down the road to cowtown...A.K.A. Stillwater, OK. I have already threatened her with her life not to become an Aggie. However, I do wish her the best of luck. And I'm sure she will be in Norman on the occasional weekend to partake in an evening of drunken debauchery at O'Connells. Not to mention the fact that she is planning my wedding!!! We'll miss ya Tyler...

It is a Beautiful day in Oklahoma...to bad I'm stuck at work.

Need a Girlfriend

So I was sitting in my room a little while ago, and a good friend, well call him Jaron for short, stopped by. We were chatting about this and that when he mentioned a new website that he heard about from a friend. If nothing else it is good for a few laughs. The web site is entitled 'Imaginary Girlfriends'. As you can imagine by the name of the site, it is a place where hopeless, pathetic, loser guys can get themselves an 'imaginary girlfriend'. Quite an interesting concept. You can browse the website and pick the girl that you want to call 'your girlfriend'. I must admit there are some very nice pictures of young ladies on the website, but it gets much better than this. Once you sign up for your girlfriend of choice she will send a hand written letter every week with new photos, emails, phone messages, online chatting and even a personal gift. Wonder what that could be:)...Here is a bio from Kristin of San Diego.

As your imaginary girlfriend, I will send you a hot and steamy letter every week on my stationary, scented with my perfume. The first letter will include a pair of my lace panties that you can proudly show your friends. Also you'll receive an e-mail every few days from me letting you know about things going on in my life (and expressing my love/lust for you too!) Online chats on AIM can be arranged if needed, and I'm also willing to leave one or two phone messages for you on your answering machine. No phone conversations included.
I can be naughty or nice, the girl next door or your fantasy woman... What kind of girlfriend do you want? ;-)

Or perhaps you may prefer Lauren from Dallas...
Hello! I'm Lauren!! I can provide just about any imaginary girlfriend service needed. We can meet once or twice for an hour long online chat that can be arranged at a time for you. I WILL write back to your emails (as your girlfriend) and if you wanted I will leave a voicemail message for you too. I will send you one letter each week and will enclose at least one photo with every letter. I love to write and can't wait to share my hopes and dreams with you in writing.
A week before our time is up, you can break up with me and I'll spend the next seven days begging you to take me back. Please choose me as your imaginary girlfriend!

Wow what else can I say. What has this world come to.

Well, for anyone that is out there looking for a 'long distance relationship' that you can brag to your buddies about, this may be your answer. The only catch is that you have to pay for this service. The price for an imaginary relationship with Kristin is $40 for a two month relationship and $45 for Lauren. The best part about this website is that the pictures and the person you actually get email from are quite possibly different people! The site pays coeds for their pictures, and then pays writers to then 'carry on' the relationship. hummmm. oh, and not to get your hopes down, but both Kristin and Lauren and many others on the site have to many boyfriends, so you may have to wait for you perfect girl even for an imaginary relationship on the internet....

http://www.imaginarygirlfriends.com/

I sure am glad I have such a GREAT FIANCE!!!

Team Schaller

Heres a shoutout to my boy Schaller. A bunch of drunk guys decide to play the game. You put 20 bucks in a pool and you get one shot at making the horse laugh hysterically and then within a few seconds you have to make it cry. At first a lot of drunk people try this, because its stupid and drunk people do stupid things, so after a few days theres a lot of money in this pot. And then people start paying 20 bucks just because theres a chance they can win a few thousand dollars by waggering 20. It's what we humans do, lottery style yo. So after a couple weeks of this the pot is at over a million dollars. Everyone in town has heard about this thing. This one guy comes into the bar and throws down his twenty. He walks up to the horse and whispers in its ear. The horse starts laughing hysterically. The guy takes a few steps back. Someone says, "it's easy to make the damn thing laugh but making it cry right away is the hard part." The guy responds by dropping his pants. The horse starts to cry. Everyone is like holy shit. "How'd you do that???" "It's simple," says the guy, "I told him my dick was bigger than his. He laughed. I showed it to him and he cried."

Congratulations Josh! Isn't that awesome? They went on a Caribbean cruise to celebrate. They have been on nearly a dozen cruises, so they decided to make this one extra special. They boarded in Miami, and did a 7 night Western Caribbean, and then when the ship docked at the end of the trip, they stayed on board to do a 7 night Eastern Caribbean. 14 nights total. On top of this, they opted to get a balcony room. They had a great trip...well deserved too.

I had a test last week in Exercise Physiology. It's a pretty fun class. I was upset at myself for missing a few questions that I shouldn't have, but still managed to get a 93! I also found out this morning that my 93 was the second highest grade in the class! GO ME! Well, I'm going to listen to the bedlam game. GO SOONERS!

:)

What a beautiful day we are having. I have had a pretty darn good week myself. I haven't felt great though. I woke up Sunday not feeling so well, and I really haven't gotten any better, but that's something to worry about another day.

My presentation last night went really well. My part of the presentation was the female anatomy. My other group members discussed female sexual dysfunctions and the G-Spot! How fun!! I thought it would be difficult to get in front of a class of thirty students and talk about the perineum, areola, labia minora, vagina and clitoris to name a few. Suprisingly it wasn't that bad. Before we officially began the presentation we divided the class up into groups of 4-5 people and had them make models of a 'vulva' (or the collective term for the external female genetalia). Suprisingly there were some really good playdough vulva's! One group, Angelas, even put pubic hair on it!! Not real pubic hair Joey...At least I hope no one had red playdough like pubs! What a fun class. Angelas group was presenting male sexuality, and they incorporated a BINGO game into their presentation. Instead of yelling BINGO the winners had to yell PENIS! The 'PENIS' winners were awarded flavored condoms and penis suckers. What a fun college class...

I had my first test yesterday as well. It was in Exercise Physiology. I'm mad at myself because I made a stupid mistake and only got a 90. I put the correct answer on the test, however when I transcribed my answers to the scan tron, I put the wrong one down...I should have a 93. Arrrggggg. Still, I'm sure I did better than most of the class. Suckers!

Well, Rush starts tonight. I hope it goes well. With so much 'anti Greek' from last semester, I am a bit nervous. Either way, I feel really good about graduating in May and knowing that the house is in good hands and thriving. I definitely feel like I have "transmitted the house to those that may follow, not only not less, but greater than it was transmitted to me." (Phikeia oath)

South Padre Island!!!

I was watching survivor All-Stars last night (yes, I am one of the few owners of the complete season of Survivor All Stars on DVD). After one of the award challenges, 2 of the castaways were reunited with a family member for the evening. They were taken to a different part of the island, and were treated to a large Pizza (which, might I add, looked really really good) as well as plenty of beer. Since then, I have had this odd craving for...PIZZA...and BEER. What a great combination. I know what I'm eating this weekend!

GO SOONERS

First of all I would like to say GO OU for the awesome performance in basketball Monday night. If you haven't heard OU beat OSU 67-57!!! How about that. I'm sure this makes living in Stillwater OK much less glamorous. First football and now basketball (their self proclaimed 'sport').

I was having a conversation with Ryan S. moments ago about one of my classes this semester, Human Sexuality 2. We began discussing the morning after pill (his mother is an OB-GYN), individuals that 'get around', and then sexual encounters with women in a plus size. This will serve as my first Quote as the Day. He swears it is not personal experience..just a saying.

"F*@!ing a fat chick is like riding a moped. I am in a group with another guy and one girl. What is weird is that our presentation is over the female anatomy, dysfunction of female sexuality, and the infamous G-Spot. This is going to be an interesting presentation. I was thinking more of a pin-the-tale-on-the-donkey kind of game except we would use a poster of the female anatomy and a penis as the marker. What do you think? I'll keep you posted on how it goes...

I'm Done!!!

Well, Im sure that I do not have a large following reading my daily posts...which is a good thing since I am not posting daily. I have considered lately switching to live journal so that Angela and I are both using the same blog service. But that's for later. I am going to make it a habit to post more often now.

I have had one heck of a week. My last semester of undergraduate studies just came to an end. I am not going to have the easy fun semester that I was hoping to graduate with...but I do not think it will be too difficult. I had enough blow off semesters in my first couple years! :) I woke up early this morning (as in 9:30 if you call that early) to turn in my Physical Therapy application in. I should know if I get accepted before spring break. I feel sooooo relieved having it completed and turned in.

Perhaps I will have more to write after the party this evening...Drunken excitement!

Angela and I!

Tests

I am taking a really neat intersession class called Sports Nutrition. It is mostly a big review from my nutrition class last spring, which makes it pretty easy. With that being said, I took our second exam last night (it is an online class; I highly recogmind taking online classes) and only missed one question!!! yea for me. Im ready to get this class over with so that I can begin my LAST semester as an undergraduate student! Graduation here I come.
